Evaluation of Antioxidant Activity of Selenium Nanoparticles using Seeds of Extract of Polylophium involucratum (Pall.) Boiss. from Ramsar – Iran

چکیده :
Nowadays, plant-mediated synthesis of metal nanoparticles is a promising alternative to the traditional method of physical and chemical synthesis. In this research the phytosynthesis of selenium nanoparticles (Se-NPs) using Polylophium involucratum (Pall.) Boiss. seeds extract as a reducing agent by microwave irradiation method and its antioxidant properties has been reported. Phytosynthesis of (Se-NPs) were characterized by UV-Vis, FT-IR, XRD, TEM, and FE-SEM. FT-IR spectroscopy revealed that (Se-NPs) were functionalized with biomolecules that have primary amine group, carbonyl group, OH groups and other stabilizing functional groups. An absorption band centered on 330 nm was observed, this absorption corresponds to the surface plasmon resonance (SPR) of the (Se-NPs). The structure and composition of (Se-NPs) were analyzed by XRD and showed that the (Se-NPs) are crystalline in nature. The morphological study of (Se-NPs) using TEM suggests that the nanoparticles are spherical in shape with a diameter 200 nm. The antioxidant activity of the synthesized (Se-NPs) was assay by DPPH0 free radical scavenging assay method. The radical scavenging activity (%) and IC50 synthesized (Se-NPs) using hydroalcohlic extracts of seeds of Polylophium involucratum (Pall.) Boiss. (69.43 % - 0.57) g/ml respectively. Also, the results of the phytochemical screening of hydroalcohlic extract of seeds of Polylophium involucratum (Pall.) Boiss. were (Terpenoids, Flavonoids, Phenols, Saponins, Coumarins, Cardiac glycosides, Tannins and Quinones) presented. Therefore, in the present study the phytochemical screening of Polylophium involucratum (Pall.) Boiss. were found to be a powerful antioxidant agent and this study can be continued for their structural elucidation, biomedical application and pharmacological activity.
