Nanobiotechnology and Plant-Derived Compounds: Advances in Nanoformulations for Therapeutic Applications

چکیده :

Nanobiotechnology has emerged as a transformative field in drug delivery and therapeutic innovations. The integration of plant-derived phytochemicals with nanocarriers offers a promising approach to enhance bioavailability, stability, and targeted delivery of therapeutic molecules. Herbal extracts and phytochemicals have long been used in traditional medicine, but their poor solubility and rapid metabolism limit their efficacy. Nanocarrier systems, including liposomes, polymeric nanoparticles, and lipid-based nanoparticles, have shown significant potential in overcoming these limitations. This review highlights recent advances (2024–2025) in the application of nanobiotechnology to plant-derived compounds, emphasizing green synthesis approaches, nanoformulations for cancer and chronic diseases, and future prospects in translational medicine. Challenges including regulatory issues, safety, and large-scale production are also discussed.
