چکیده :

Herbal-based nanopharmaceuticals represent a transformative approach in cancer therapy, combining the therapeutic potential of natural compounds with the precision of nanotechnology. This report explores the advancements, challenges, and future directions of these formulations in oncology. Herbal compounds, such as curcumin, quercetin, and resveratrol, exhibit significant anticancer properties but face limitations like poor bioavailability and instability. Nanotechnology addresses these issues by enhancing solubility, stability, and targeted delivery, thereby improving therapeutic efficacy and minimizing systemic toxicity. Key innovations include the development of nanocarriers such as liposomes, nanoparticles, and micelles, which enable controlled drug release and site-specific action. These systems not only improve drug accumulation at tumor sites but also reduce adverse effects on healthy tissues. Furthermore, the integration of diagnostic and therapeutic functions into single nanoscale platforms, known as theranostics, offers promising avenues for personalized cancer treatment. Despite these advancements, challenges such as large-scale production, regulatory hurdles, and potential nanoparticle toxicity remain significant barriers.This report underscores the need for continued research and standardization to fully realize the potential of herbal-based nanopharmaceuticals in revolutionizing cancer therapy.
