چکیده :
Saffron stigma (Crocus sativus L.) contains an important metabolite called safranal, which plays an important role in its marketability and medicinal properties. The level of this metabolite can be influenced by ecological conditions and farm management. This study investigates how bacterial biofertilizer composition and soil physicochemical parameters jointly affect safranal content in saffron. In this research, various scientific studies on the effect of different types of bacteria on saffron safranal content were collected and reviewed since 2000, and data on biofertilizer characteristics (genus, number of species, bacterial concentration), soil properties (pH, electrical conductivity, organic matter), fertilization regimes (animal and chemical), and year of cultivation after treatment were extracted. Multiple regression analysis was performed using SAS software to quantify the relationships between these factors and stigma safranal level. The regression results showed that the most effective factor in increasing safranal content when using bacterial biofertilizers was the number of bacterial species in the biofertilizer and the percentage of organic matter, whose regression values were 0.41 and 0.38, respectively. Among the soil parameters and management factors, manure application and pH had the least effect and a negative relationship with stigma safranal content, whose values were -0.57 and -0.45, respectively. Overall, the results of this study showed that increasing the microbial diversity in bacterial biofertilizer and organic matter in the soil can increase safranal production, while alkaline conditions and excessive manure prevent the biosynthesis of terpenoids such as safranal.
